Programme overview
The MSc in Product Design Engineering is collaboratively delivered programme between GSA's PDE department and James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow. In the first two stages, the curriculum is equally split between the two institutions, the final stage, the Masters project is primarily at GSA. The PDE MSc programme develops graduates with creative drive and engineering rigour. With increasing challenges and opportunities from existing and emerging world marketplaces for products that respond to the needs of users, society and the reduction of global impact, industries which develop, manufacture and market products require high-calibre graduates. The PDE MSc experience prepares students to respond these challenges and opportunities. The PDE MSc is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Institute of Technology and the Institute of Engineering Designers to allow Chartered Engineer status - an excellent springboard for industry, consultancy, or higher degrees. All GSA degree programmes are validated by the University of Glasgow.
