biography
I completed my undergraduate degree at the Bartlett School of Architecture (2018) and recently obtained a master’s in ‘Architecture and Urban Studies’ from Kadir Has University (2023).
My work primarily focuses on memory and spatial justice, exploring the use of physical making and digital mediums (interactive mapping, 3D scanning, 3D modelling) as tools for the translation of complex relationships involving identity, displacement, and place.
I am a member of Turkish NGO Architecture for All (Herkes İçin Mimarlık) and, following the devastating 2023 Turkey–Syria earthquakes, contributed to their ‘Post Disaster Reconstruction Plan’ through co-organising and participating in two design-build projects in the affected region.
Research interests
My current research focuses on post-disaster community practices and spaces, heritage and memory, participatory design, and analogue and digital making.
