Angela is Research Associate at the Institute for Design Innovation and works as part of the Experience Lab team. Current research interests include ethics in design practice and education by understanding and challenging our own practice within the Experience Labs approach. Originally from the Shetland Isles, other interests include material culture, theories of place attachment within the context of the Highland and Islands. Before joining the Institute for Design Innovation she worked as a freelance designer with clients including NHS Scotland, Scottish Social Services Council and Dundee City Council, focusing on engaging people in the process of designing new and improved services.
