Postgraduate study at GSA encompasses taught and research masters degree programmes, and is the perfect opportunity to further your skills in the visual creative disciplines.
Most of our masters programmes – aside from our two year Master of Fine Art and Master of Communication Design programmes – take place over one academic year, allowing you an intensive, transformative development of your practice. Whether you study at our main Glasgow campus, or our campus in the Highlands of Scotland, you will have access to specialised studio space, cutting-edge workshop equipment and technical facilities, as well as one of the best art and design library collections in the world. Our teaching staff are active researchers and practitioners, with deep connections to the creative scene in Glasgow and beyond – connections that are drawn on in your learning and extracurricular opportunities.
During your time as a postgraduate student you will have many chances to work collaboratively, exhibit externally and make connections with our many partners in the creative, business and wider world. Because our postgraduate community is truly international, you will encounter a diversity of contexts, cultures and connections. Some of our postgraduate programmes also offer the chance to visit one of our many international partner institutions on exchange. The GSA offers over 25 graduate degree programmes across our schools of Fine Art, Design, Innovation and Technology and Architecture. No matter your creative field, our taught and research programmes are the perfect opportunity to further your skills and boost your employability.
